Sharon and Keith’s story
Sharon (below, with Bob) and Keith (right) have been friends for many years. They met in Atlanta at a grooming seminar which Sharon had arranged for the Atlanta Terrier Club and was given by well-known judge and terrier specialist, Ric Chasoudian. At that time, Sharon had been breeding dogs for over thirty years, while Keith, although a life-long dog lover and owner, was new to showing and breeding. A relationship that began as that of mentor and novice rapidly developed into a close friendship with a shared passion for breeding and showing dogs. Inevitably this has now become a joint enterprise.
Opie (Ch. Shaireab’s On Your Honor) is the patriarch of Sharon’s breeding program, just as Henry (Ch. Brynhir B’Berg Henry Hyde), Keith’s first Specials dog, is the progenitor of Keith’s breeding program. Opie has produced many champions, including Sam (Ch. Shaireab’s Sam I Am), who has himself produced champions and group winners. Sam’s son, Justin (Ch. Shaireab’s Just N’ Time) has been Best of Breed winner at Westminster for the last two years, Best of Breed at AKC Eukanuba Invitational in 2006 and is now a Best In Show winner.
Henry’s daughter Betsy (Ch. Shaireab’s n’ Bayleigh Joint Venture) was the dog with which Sharon and Keith first began to combine their efforts. Betsy was bred to Opie’s son, Stewart (Ch. Shaireab’s Honor Among Thieves) to produce the dog which brought both breeding programs together – Link (Ch. Shaireab’s Bayleigh Missing Link), already a multiple group winner in his first year as a champion.
Sharon and Keith have an extensive breeding program which is made possible by their “extended family” of co-owners who have finished champions living in their homes as treasured family pets. Not only do their co-owners have a close friendship with Sharon and Keith, but also with each other, with everyone frequently meeting up for dog shows, seminars and non dog-related social get-togethers.
When puppies are due, the dogs return to Sharon or Keith for the puppies to be whelped. At eight weeks, the puppies are evaluated by Sharon and Keith’s exclusive handler, Tracy Deloria, a member of the AKC Professional Handlers Association, to determine which puppies should be kept as show prospects and which should be placed in suitable homes as pets. Until Tracy sees the puppies, there is no way to be sure whether any or all of a litter will be available as pets.
Sharon and Keith spend untold hours discussing future breedings which will ensure the continuing excellence of their dogs, and improve on an already high standard. Their dedication to the Welsh Terrier breed is paramount, and their devotion to their individual dogs uncompromising.

Aims and Objectives:
To show our dogs to their championship so that they may be independently judged as to their quality and soundness as examples of the breed.
To produce high quality puppies of good temperament and health. All puppies are examined by board certified cardiologists, ophthalmologists and orthopedists.
To make every effort to find suitable, loving, forever homes for our dogs by use of a rigorous selection procedure.
To provide owners with advice and support throughout the life of their Shaireab’s Bayleigh dog.
